RELIQ
Terms of Service
Effective date: 30 June 2026 (early draft)
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Reliq, operated by Wisp, an individual sole operator based in Sweden (“Reliq”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Reliq, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Reliq.
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Reliq — including connecting an AI tool to it over MCP, installing the Reliq plugin, or ingesting data — you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use Reliq on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.
2. Description of the service
Reliq is a private, developer-oriented memory substrate exposed over the Model Context Protocol (MCP). It stores, organizes, and retrieves context about you and your work so that the AI tools you connect can use it as long-term memory.
Reliq is a substrate, not an AI. It does not perform model inference and does not pay for or proxy LLM tokens. The connected AI tool brings the intelligence and bears its own inference costs.
3. Accounts and security
- You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials, OAuth authorizations, and any Personal Access Tokens you create.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- Notify us promptly at webbywisp@gmail.com of any suspected unauthorized use.
4. Your responsibility for the data you ingest
You are solely responsible for the data you connect to or ingest into Reliq, and you must have the rights and authority to do so. In particular:
- You must have the right to ingest the repositories you point the capture plugin at, including any employer-owned or client-owned code, and to send the derived signals to Reliq.
- You must have the right to connect the calendars, contacts, and GitHub accounts you authorize, and to process the personal data of third parties (such as meeting attendees and contacts) that this entails — including any notice or consent your jurisdiction requires.
- You must comply with the policies of your employer and of the third-party services you connect.
You agree not to ingest data you are not permitted to use, and you indemnify us for claims arising from data you ingest (see §10).
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Reliq for unlawful purposes or to store unlawful content;
- attempt to access another user’s data or to circumvent tenant isolation, authentication, or rate limits;
- probe, scan, or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service;
- reverse engineer the Reliq core service except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law.
6. Intellectual property
- The Reliq core service is proprietary. All rights in the Reliq server, retrieval engine, and hosted platform are reserved by Reliq (operated by Wisp). These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service, not any ownership of it.
- The Reliq client plugin is open source under the MIT License. The Claude Code / coding-harness client plugin (the MCP connector configuration, session hooks, and the small
reliqCLI) is distributed separately under the MIT License and is governed by that license, not by the proprietary terms above. - Your data is yours. You retain all rights in the content you ingest. You grant us only the limited license needed to host, process, index, and serve it back to you and the tools you connect, as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Third-party services and AI tools
Reliq is designed to be connected to third-party AI tools and data sources you choose (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, your calendar or GitHub). We do not control those services. Your use of them is governed by their terms and privacy policies, and you are responsible for reviewing them — including how a connected AI provider may use your conversations (and the memory Reliq surfaces) for model training. See §4 of the Privacy Policy. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of any third-party service.
8. Disclaimers of warranty
Reliq is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that stored data will never be lost. Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reliq (operated by Wisp) and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) Reliq. Our total aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (likely zero, since Reliq is currently free).
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Reliq (operated by Wisp) from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) data you ingest or connect, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right, including the rights of people whose data you ingest.
11. Termination
You may stop using Reliq and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others or to the service. On termination, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy (§6).
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Sweden will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.
Note: Reliq’s data-protection obligations follow the EU GDPR as implemented in Sweden (see the Privacy Policy); UK GDPR may also apply where Reliq serves UK users.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
